On 30th November 2022, I wanted to pay my Edgars account at Pick n' Pay in Cornubia, Durban. There is a code that is 19 digits long which allows you to make this payment to your Edgars account. I have paid using this 19 digit code in Musgrave, La Lucia and Umhlanga Pick n' Pay WITHOUT any problem. I presented this code to the cashier at Cornubia, Sixolile Mthembu to make a payment and she said "we not allowed to this", so I asked Why? Sixolile never made eye contact with me, instead rung my items that I purchased and started cashing for the next person. Sixolile cashed for 3 people while I stood there trying to understand why she cannot do my payment with the code I have but sadly she ignored me. I asked Sixolile to please call a manager and a gentleman by the name of Mthoko (as per his name badge) came to speak to me. I could hardly hear what he was saying but anyway eventually he said go to another cashier, so I asked which cashier and Mthoko stood there mumbling again "but they not allowed todo this". All I wanted to know is that how did the other Pick n' Pay stores accept my payment. I would really appreciate some input on this, please. At the end of the day, I would have gladly accepted that Pick n' Pay Cornubia is not allowed to do these payments, but the manner in which I was treated was totally unacceptable. All I ask for or it might be just my opinion treat someone like the way you would like to be treated. Do not be rude, talk politely and kindly. Regards
