Lindt Chocolate pricing method highly questionable

I experienced dubious, if not blatant misleading pricing at PnP, for the 200g Lindt Lindor Cornet chocolates. Bearing in mind that Valentines Day time is rife with price gouging, people are on the lookout for well priced chocolates and flowers. The specific product mentioned above had a price label in black of R89,99, on the shelf. This is how PnP mark their regular prices. Next to it was a larger yellow price tag at R84,99, and bold writing, SAVE R44. However, at the till I was charged R84.99, a saving of R5! Having expected to pay R40,99, I queried this. The supervisor was called and he explained to me that the regular price was R128,99. *******. Nowhere on the shelf is there a price of R128,99. The more I tried to explain this to the supervisor, the more he responded "the regular price is R128,99". Also, not any of Woolworths, Clicks or Dischem sell the same product for anywhere near R128,99. Although I don't follow the price regularly, I have never seen this product near R128,99. So where does the R89,99 price label on the shelf fit into the scenario. I was told that is the special price. Well, it is a regular price label; nowhere does it state it is the special price. To me it seems this is an example of misleading pricing and PnP should be ashamed. I asked to speak with the owner as I believed he would be the only one to clarify the matter, but he was not available. PnP you need to get your pricing system accurate.
