Linah Ramoshaba dishonest service at Pick 'n Pay QualiSave Braamfontein
Today, November 3, 2023, I went to Pick 'n Pay QualiSave Braamfontein to buy Ouma bread. When I arrived at the cashier's tillpoint and gave my money and the Ouma bread to Ms. Linah Ramoshaba, the cashier, I mentioned to her that I was still searching for my Smart Shopper Card in my bag. When I gave her my card, she had already rung up the items and the till receipt had printed. When I told her she didn't swipe my card and I didn't receive my cashback rewards points, she told me the most horrible lie I've ever heard: she will swipe my card and the next client's products will be credited to me. I took my receipt and stood there watching as the next customer she served swiped their Smart Shopper Card and rang their things. I approached her immediately after she served this client and asked her where I could find proof that I had been awarded with cashback reward points. She arrogantly printed the receipt with R4.66 points, which I explained were the last points I had because she had not swiped my Smart Shopper Card. When I instructed her to cancel the transaction and ring up the Ouma bread again and swipe my Smart Shopper Card, she called her supervisor who was on standby and tried to fabricate a story that I was returning the Ouma bread. I immediately told to the supervisor (who didn't disclose her name) that I am an informed consumer and that I wanted those cashback reward points credited to my account, and that Ms. Linah Ramoshaba was taking me for a ride me into thinking that I am an idiot. The supervisor apologised and asked her to apologise, but she was so arrogant that she didn't apologise to me since her demeanour was to undermine and make me feel stupid. After the whole transaction was reconciled I had earned R4.78 cashback reward points, of which she tried to rob me off. To put the record straight, I was not there to cause drama or make a scene; the very least she could have done was to cancel the transaction, ring up the item again, then swipe my Smart Shopper Card and apologise. There is a reason I have the Smart Shopper Card as a consumer; cashiers like Ms. Linah Ramoshaba who believe they can ***** consumers of what is legitimately theirs should be disciplined with a written warning in order to respect clients and understand they aren't law unto themselves. Worst of all, earlier in the morning I gave this store a rating of 10 since their Customer Service Department requested that I give this Pick 'n Pay QualiSave Braamfontein a rating after making a purchase in this store, only to receive this poor and dishonest service, which is totally unacceptable.
