I just want fresh food

Bought a pack of biltong, started to eat just to be met with pieces covered in mold. I left the pakkie for a week, its still before the use before date, and its white, the biltong is white from mold, that was just the cherry on the cake,nothing in pick and pay is guaranteed fresh
