Lack of customer service

I had a cash send from capitec ,the cashier insisted to have my phone to see the sms ,then I refused because of gems I can accumulate, after the covid thing I can't risk that and again it's against the POPIA act to for someone to see things in your phone when yoh don't even give concern .Then the conclusion was that they cannot assume with cash if I cannot give them my phone so they can see . My question is , isn't that the till won't open if the number given are not correct ? And again I'm the one with the pin so why would I try **** them of money if that's what they think ,how so ?
