Injury hazard in store
My mother Cheryl, fell at the Canal walk store on Sunday 28th January 2024 at till number 8 due to the ground not being level at the till point and the staff is aware of it. The customer service manager of the store also fell there at the same till point and is currently off due to her injury. My mother is chronic arthritis patient and cannot fall, her whole left side of her body has been impacted and she cannot fulfil her working duties now due to pain and affecting her income as she is a day mother to kids that she had to get help to look after the babies due to her being a day mother from home. The store has not acted or treated this like a emergency. My mom is seriously injured and need medical assistance. She had to go borrow money to get to the doctor who will probably refer her to a specialist ASAP due to the nature of injuries. This is unacceptable due to the negligence of the store, my mom's health is now impacted and I want Pick n pay to pay for her medical bills, loss of income and her bill to hire someone in order to help her out while she is not well and cannot move due to the injury sustained. I want the Pick n pay head of Western Cape to contact her and assist her ASAP!! The service received from the store itself is putrid and they do not know what process to follow. *********** store staff and we had to call them yesterday to get in contact with my mother but clearly they do not care, neither any apology. They knew the floor was a hazard and could cause serious harm yet they still operated at the till where the flooring is unlevel, causing injury to their own staff member and now my mom. I want her to be called and this to be handled with urgency as it's day 3 and my mom is still in pain. Due to the stores negligence she now had to s**** Money together to go too the doctor. This is highly unacceptable.
