Incorrect pricing

I visited the Pick n Pay, Pam Golding on Main, Claremont on 29 Dec 2019. I purchased a few things, the toilet paper was marked as R49.99 on the shelf But scanned at R79.99. The shelf was filled withThe same item. The cashier (Shayla) went to speak to the manager, she returned to say the manager cannot sell the item at the price on the shelf. I said it’s not my fault your employers priced the item incorrectly. Shayla said according to our policy we can’t sell u the item at this price. I asked about the “Scan right policy” but I got a blank stare. She said the barcodes are different, now I know managers can override a price regardless. This is the only Pick n Pay where the customer was not king. Usually the price you see is the price you pay. The manager never surfaced to explain why I could not get the item at the price on the shelf. I will no longer support this store.
