*********** AND RUDE CASHIER.
Good day, On sunday, 23 February 2020, at around 14h50, I visited Pick n Pay Liquor, Tembisa Megamart. I approached the cashier, Kedibone F Mabotja as appears on the slip, to inquire and confirm if it is cheaper to buy alcohol in 24 pack rather than the 6 pack. She indeed confirmed that is so.
The problem ensued when I could not locate an empty box for Belgravia Gin & Blue Tonic. The rest of the Belgravia boxes were there except for the specific flavour that I wanted to purchase. Kedibone then told me there is nothing she can do without the specific flavour box, she would have to charge me based on the six packs. I irretatably told her it was not my fault that they discarded the boxes.
She told me the only option I had was to pay based on the six packs prices or leave the beverages behind. I then stood aside for other patrons to pay, and the Security Personnel whom she requested to look at the barcode for the specific flavour, informed her that the barcode was the same for all the Belgravia prefix brands.
She finally served with the worst attitude that I have never seen and did not even bother to apologise. The bill on the day was R788.97. Whilst waiting for the price another patron was looking for beverage which was placed high above the shelves, where she requested the Security Personnel, who is more or else similar height to come and help her! A gentleman in the quee offered to help. Was that not a Secutrity Bridge?
Still on the subject of appalling attitude and service, are the prices of the stock in the shop programmed on the system? Was I really supposed to pay more than I was supposed to because of the discarded boxes? I will also like to take this moment to applaud the professionalism shown by the Security Personnel on duty whom I unfortunately could not get his name.
