I really don't understand

Yesterday at about past 5 i visited the pick n pay in meadowlands. I went into the store made some purchases needed to make a withdrawal but they didn't have cash and they were still trying to get cash for other clients when i walked out decided to go try make the withdrawal at pick n pay liquor around the corner I was with my nephew who is only 5 but security guard wanted me to leave him outside telling me kids cannot enter the liquor store i continued to tell him i am not there to purchase and only need to withdraw and he still wanted him to stand outside there was no way i was having that how does it make sense to have children stand outside while they are will an adult i had no one else there with me so couldn't tell him to go sit with anyone else. Liquor should not be sold to minors but to take it as far as the child not entering the store when they are with an adult doesn't make sense.
