How I became a packer

I paid for my groceries at the cashier and found two packets laying there. I asked if I was expected go pack my stuff myself. The rude person just ignored me and started with the next customer. I asked for the manager who found the issue funny and told me I would be paid a bonus in December. This happened while other packers stood idly and watched me pack my groceries. This is disgusting service. Does pick n pay want to pay people to do nothing but watch customers perform tasks that they are paid to do? The cashier's name is Maria Makhanya.
