How fresh is your food?

<p>Today I went to Pick n Pay Maponya mall to buy cake, when I got there aa owe usual I would check the expiry date before taking it </p> <p>The expiry date said best before 01/01/2017.</p> <p> </p> <p>Aa soon aa I got home opened the cake (Bakehouse/chocolate and vanilla) and to my disappointment is was stale , it was not edible at all especially the vanilla sponge,when my bread is fresher than it... I then called the branch where I had different people talking to me, none of them could tell me their names as u wanted a solution to this problem. I was only told that it comes like the from the supplier and there's nothing they can do. .Really???? I'm a customer and buy this particular product do often that I know when in its good condition or not. .</p> <p> I'm extremely disappointed and not happy at all</p>
