********** Pick'n Pay Service

Just bought a bottle of 2013 La Motte Carbanet Sauvignon from local Pick'n Pay (Rousouw Street, Equestria, Pretoria). Asked store manager (?) what proof they have the wines are from the dates stated on the label besides the sticker from the South African Wine and Spirits board on the neck of the bottle. Unfortunately he didn't didn't know, so he sought guidance from "the big boss", who turned out to be utterly dismissive of my enquiry. "Big Boss" went on to suggest I buy a bottle of water, beacuse "Mr Oppenheimer could never make counterfeit or mislabelled wine". My enquiry was innocent, perhaps naive too, but as a paying customer I'd a right to ask and not to be dismissed and humiliated the way tat I was. For one thing, he doesn't know the half of me, where I come from, what I do. I expecetd better service from Pick'n Pay brand.
