Highly Dissapoint in PicknPay Online Shopping

I placed on order online yesterday, I added 2 additional items, to make up for the delivery costs. My account was debited for the full amount yesterday, only to receive the 2 additional items and not my main item, with no communication at all about my full order not being processed. I called and was told that the item could have been out of stock when the order was picked and packed, yet the item is still showing as available on the website. I checked again and now the item is nearly R100 more than the price listed yesterday, and I am able to add it to my cart. So why was the item not supp**** to myself and why was there no communication from PnP, at all, regarding my order, prior to delivery. This is pathetic service from such a giant retailer. Hi Kevin,

We have done a follow up on your query with our Online Management Team.
Please see feedback below:

We do apologise for the out of stock situation. Due to the fact that we carefully choose your goods in store, we may occasionally run out of stock before we can update our stock availability on the Websites. Products may become unavailable, from time to time due to a variety of reasons:
  • Out of stock
  • Discontinued/No longer stocked by PnP/Online Shopping
  • Seasonally unavailable
  • Poor Sales Performance
  • Supply Issues
  • Expired stock
  • Short shelf life
We endeavour to keep this to a minimum, but do not provide any guarantees regarding stock availability due to the fast moving nature of groceries, and in particular fresh and perishable products. Please provide customer with a free delivery on his next order – code APOLOGY. This can be app**** at checkout.

Kind regards,
The Pick n Pay Team
