Greedy retailer
On Thursday 23 May I went to this store at Camaro crossing Oakdene and bought a green cabbage for the astronomical price R39.99. I couldn't believe it so I complained to their customer services who were more interested in justifying there prices by blaming the store which is a family store. The store in turn states that Pick and Pay set the prices. I looked around expecting to find a general increase but this was not the case. Spar R22.00 and Shoprite R23.00 This is one more item I will not be buying by Pick and Pay. As a matter of interest When I bought this cabbage Pick and Pay Mulbarton were selling green gabages for R9.99. Pick and Pay cannot explain why there is a R30 difference in price between there stores for a cabbage Really

09 Jun 2024, 13:00Pick and pay sent me an email concerning my review and claimed that they had passed my complaint on to the store concerned. I was in the store on Thursday 6 June and I was waiting to speak to the manageress that I normally speak with but due to the fact that she was busy on the phone I left her to do my shopping and when I was at cashier paying for what I was taking. I saw her going into the lockup offices by her check out. When I went to the check out to ask for her I was told that she was up at the bottle store.. When I went by the bottle store I looked in the window but could not see her. This is the manner we as card holders with Pick and Pay accounts are treated. I have spent several thousands of rands at Pick and Pay over the years and we are treated like this. I could not in my right mind recommend Pick and Pay who has no respect. For their regular customer's concerns.

13 Jun 2024, 13:57Just to keep you up-to-date I went back to the store this morning and spoke with the manageress and the owners daughter who happened to be there. I told them what the customer services had said and insisted that Pick and Pay supplies and gives the prices on the cabbages In question. I then bought up another thing. After buying the cabbage and getting home I cut it up for future use and put it in the fridge. When I cut it up I noticed that the cabbage itself was hollow inside and that the cabbage itself consisted of leaves only with an empty hole in the centre.. The store was amazed at this and said that this should be taken up with the supplier. Apparently nobody else had reported this to them and I was charged R40 for what appears to be just leaves. Really.
