Going the extra mile

Three weeks ago I shopped at Pick 'n Pay in N1 City in Cape Town's northern suburb, and on arriving home noticed I'd been charged R29 for a Vodacom mobile voucher which I had not asked for and, being an MTN contracted customer couldn't use.

I 'phoned the customer careline and promptly received a call from store manager Bronwen who asked me to present my cash slip so he could arrange for me to be credited with said amount. I explained that I seldom frequent that mall so it could be some weeks before I returned to that shop ...

... which I did today and with a big smile Bronwen said he would set things in place for the credit but rather than hold things up I asked him to give the voucher to some needy employee, adding that the important thing for me was to experience a positive attitude - and boy did he deliver on that!

I continued shopping when the next thing one of the staff brought me R30 as my refund.

That Bronwen had told her to find me left me with a really good feeling about supporting Pick 'n Pay in general and N1 City in particular

Thanks also to the person who handled my original call on the customer careline prompting Bronwen to act so quickly.
