Gift card inconvenience

I got a pick n pay gift card from work. On Saturday I went to Pick n pay in Thlabane square Rustenburg to buy food using the card. When I got to the till the casier rang my food then swiped my card, the purchase was approved but then she said the slip that shows what I bought didnt come out because of their network issues. She called the manager , the manager said he will call IT. I waited over 3 hours for them to solve the matter. At the end the manager told me the IT people have knocked off and that he can not give me the food I paid for because the money is just hanging. He took my gift card and said he will call me on Sunday. I am still waiting for the call. Basically They took my card and took the food as well. Its my money. Money went out from the card, I should get the food I paid for or get my card with the amount that was initially in it. I spend money on transport to go there but came back empty handed. Im so abset , we are not taken serious as customers. What an inconvenience. I want my card back.
