What an experience with Pick 'n Pay delivery today!!!! On 23 November I bought products online by pick 'n pay for the black Friday specials. Everything went well, the delivery was placed and delivery should have taken place today 28 November between 11 - 12. I have paid a R90.00 delivery for the convenience of it. Then I don't have to drive and pick it up. I took off to be at home between 11 - 12 and I was about to leave at 12:30 when the driver stood by the gate where the delivery must take place. He locked his keys in the car. He asked me to go back into my flat and get the Customer care lines number so that he can get the delivery done. I was already 30 minutes LATE and now I must wait until he gets someone to unlock the car for him. He advises me that he was looking for the entrance for 2 hours as he was there before 11. What load of BS!!!!! IF he was here, why didn't he press the intercom when he EVENTUALLY found the gate? The gate that he was standing at has got a HUGE sign on it stating that it is only for the residents and the visitors must go to the small gate around the corner. Does he have an education or can he just not read????? How must I know he is there is no buzzer was pressed at the intercom. I did take a photo of sign. It doesn't take ANY normal person 2 hours to search for the entrance. COME ON!!!! I told him that I CANNOT stay any longer and I HAVE to leave. I went back to my flat to get my purse (forgot it) and as I came out he opened the truck to do the delivery. So all of a sudden his car is open. LOL. Out of anger and time wasted, I told him to off load the delivery. I just told him that if I lose my job today I will make sure it comes back to him. His response to me was “I don't care". At that point he already off loaded the delivery and was standing in the inside of the premises. So he doesn't give a **** about other people’s income while wasting 2 hours in search of an entrance. I told him that he will NOT enter my flat and he can pack my order by the front door. His attitude was already very aggressive and he answered me "Jab because you a white lady". As it is have I lost money from being late at work (no work no pay) AND the trauma that he put me through. There was NO need to play a ****** card!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was feeling very uncomfortable and unsafe so I told him to take the products and leave the premises. I tried to phone the Customer care line (twice), holding for 25 - 30 minutes and nobody picking up the phones. I also tried phoning the Online shopping help line and the same there. Holding on for about 20 min with nobody picking up. So, you wasted my time, I lost money today, I don't have the products that has been paid for, paid R90.00 for delivery to get the ****test service EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Customer care phoned me at plus minus 15:45 and ensured me that my delivery will be here at 12. ONCE again I have to take off to get the delivery tomorrow at 12:00. If this is the way you treat your customers, no wonder Pick 'n pay is getting such bad reputation. After this experience, I will NEVER shop at pick 'n pay again. What is Pick 'n pay going to do regarding this matter?????
