Frustrated and unimpressed
I am extremely frustrated with Pick n Pay and their suppliers who are responsible for repairs. I went to Pick n Pay on the 25th of November 2021 to get assistance with the laptop I purchased from them because it was slow. One of the workers began updating the software but said I could take it home to complete the updates because it would take time. When I arrived home, the keyboard was no longer working. I went back on the 30th of November and they booked it in for repairs. I gave them proof of the extended warranty I purchased with the laptop and they sent the information to their suppliers who would have it fixed. I was called a few days later and told there was an outstanding amount of R2100 that needed to be payed by me to fix the keyboard which I did not break. After constant back and forth, they admitted that I was not liable for the cost of fixing the keyboard, the extended warranty should pay for that. Since then, there has been a back and forth about the status of my laptop. I was informed today, 28th February 2022, that my laptop is sitting at the supplier and has not been fixed. It has been 3 months and I need that laptop for school. To make matters worse, the people responsible for fixing my laptop **** more than once about not receiving the proof of extended warranty, which caused the delay, however I received a call in December regarding it from one of their consultants about it. So not only did they lie, but they are putting off fixing my laptop. I am very frustrated by this and want my laptop fixed and delivered to me in KZN where I go to school, something I have made them aware of many times.
