Fresh chicken but bad

On the 25.01.2022 making my way home I **** a quick stop as always at pnp observatory. I bought a few stuff including 3 packers of chicken to the value of just under R100. On my arrival at home my wife emediatle jump into cleaning the chicken for supper. While my wife was cleaning the chicken so got a bad smell from 1 of the packet and called me to check if she is not wrong. I got the same smell but then we took it maybe it was just the outside of the packet. After cleaning 2 packets of chicken and starting to fry the chicken she decided to make 3 packet also, then she got the smell again. I then told her to put it aside so I can take it back to pnp. At dinner my wife started to eat but the smell was was still surrounding her and she could not continue eating while me and my almost 2yr old son was continuing with our supper. Later that evening my son was nagging about his stomach and my wife gave him so stomach medicine. 2hrs Later I had to run to the toilet and had this bad cramps on my stomach. This continued right thru the night till the early morning. I was furious a d moody not getting sleep. The next day the 26.01.2022 I went back to pnp and asked to speak to one of the managers. Manager Grace then helped me by refunding me the money for the chicken after I explained what happened. She explained how sorry she is to hear what happened but blame that it could have been the refrigerator a d said that the manager of the butcher will be in the next day and will let hom know about the happening. On the 29.01.2022 the manager Victor of the butcher called me. He started off by greeting me and said I'm just doing a curtousy call on what happend and he said it could be the refrigerator but he's glad that manager Grace has refunded me. If I'm correct he was not even 1min online with me not asking me how I am or is there anything I would like to know or say. Just thank you for your loyal support and goodbye. On that same night that we had the chicken when my wife told her mother. Her mother said I'll pay you the money I'm gonna give it to the dog. I said know. If it **** me sick the dog can get sick aswell. This is very upsetting as pnp don't acknowledge of what really happened.
