Forfeiture of points without communication
On the 31/12/2017 I had +R333.00 points balance. On the 09/01 I was surprised to find that my points balance was R61.57. On the 09/01 I sent an email inquiry as I did not understand as to what happened to the balance of my points. I was still expecting a response from them. Subsequently yesterday I received an sms stating that my point’s balance of 381 will be expiring on the 1 Feb as points are valid for 12 months. Why did they not communicate this in advance? They must come up with a solution to add the points to the card so that they can be redeemable at any time. Sometimes when you go their Kiosk machine to redeem the points you find that they are not working of which it’s an inconvenience to customers. Please reverse my points as I was saving them for future use as there was no expiry date.

Kindly note Smart Shopper points are valid for 12 months from the time they’re earned. The best way not to lose your PnP rewards is to make sure you spend them from time to time. We always use your oldest points first so use your points to save even more on every day shopping or treat yourself to something special. You can switch points on the app or via the kiosk.

We have escalated to have your deleted points re-instated, the points will reflect within 7 business days.
