Forced to keep faulty bra!!!
On Friday 23rd February I went to a Pick 'n Pay Clothing store in Southgate. After browsing around the store I decided to buy some underwear. Seeing as I am 6 months pregnant I decided to buy a comfortable bra that I could use even when I breastfeed my baby. I decided to wear the bra the following day and I took off the tags just as I was about to wear it. As I was about to wear it I realised that the strap on the right was twisted. I tried to untwist the strap but I realised that the strap was sewn on incorrectly from the factory. I sent a tweet to Pick 'n Pay customer relations but got no response. I then went on to contact Pick 'n Pay and was told that I would not be bale to return the bra because of their health and safety reasons.
While I understand the health and safety reasons for not returning underwear, the respondent to my tweet was brash in declaring that health and safety would be the reason that I am unable to return the bra. This is because this bra is faulty and should not be on the shelf in the first place. And secondly, even if I were to be given another bra the one I would be returning would not be suitable to be worn by any other person. Therefore, what health and safety regulations are being broken when nobody should be wearing that bra in the first place?
I am highly disappointed firstly, in the shoddy workmanship from Pick 'n Pay. Your products are not exactly cheap and when you buy them you expect a certain level of quality. Secondly, the customer care from the Twitter team is below average and I am disappointed that such a big brand would allow a brash and non-caring person to be the voice behind Pick 'n Pay's social media. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing any other garment from Pick 'n Pay because of the shabby workmanship that they later refuse to take accountability for.
