FEELING CHEATED

I have been experiencing various challenges with different Pick n Pay stores for a long time now, but decided to write this review after my last bad experience. Because I was shopping for a long list of products to take to China as SA gifts, I was also pricing Nestle Passions chocolates at different shops. Baywest Pick n Pay was the cheapest at R61.99 for 300 g. So when I was at Baywest Pick n Pay last week, I took the last 2 packets on the shelve (and note: I first made sure that it is still marked R61.99 on the shelve - with hindsight I should have taken a picture like I did at other shops...). Well, what an unpleasant surprise when I checked my till slip this weekend and saw that I paid R85.99 per packet!!!! So in the end I paid R48 more for the 2 packets than marked on the shelve. Maybe not a lot of money, but frustrating because I specifically priced this at various other shops and other branches of Pick n Pay. Does that mean customers have to make notes of the price of everything they put in their baskets and check it at the till again before paying? (can you imagine the congestion at the till points??)
