False advertising - Pick n Pay Online

Pick n Pay online

I placed an order online on Monday 25 March 2024 for a smart Tv that was on special and my order went through successfully. When I went to collect the tv yesterday at the store at 4pm as per my request I was asked to wait as the order wasn’t ready ( my pick up time was 4-5pm) I waited for 45mins and asked the security to call them again . The security was told my order has been cancelled . I then asked to speak to a menager Shaheen Allie who told me that they made a mistake as they had a tv in stock but it was faulty so they don’t have stock anymore. I then asked to speak to someone more senior as I wasted my time and petrol to drive to the shop and was not informed they don’t have stock. Vendry van Wyk came and he first reprimanded the staff in front of me on when they got they started order and why they did nothing about sorting it out. When he addressed me he showed no empathy he just said sorry we out of stock they are more TVs in stock if you want a tv and we have refunded you . (Regering to TVs that’s twice the price than the one I ordered) Very disappointed as I stopped looking for a tv the minute I found this special and I drove from franschoek to brackenfell for nothing and spend about 2 hours for nothing .
