False Advertising NO STOCK
Today, on display for R160 was mealie meal, flour, sugar, rice and oil as a special.
On checking my till slip – lo and behold – the five items totalled R190.95. So, I called and initially spoke to Dawson and then the customer care manager Annelize, as I find the manager of the store totally *********** and offensive after his inept handling of a previous complaint.
During the discussion with Annelize, it turns out that the flour on the display was not the flour that was included in the special. As I pointed out this is not MY problem, it is the incompetance of someone from Pick ‘n Pay who did the display, and I do not see why I should pay the financial penalty caused by a useless / uns****ed / untrained / bungling PnP staff member.
Next – the special on the Choice Butter @ R49.99 per unit – well – no stock. Annelize then informs me that the store was only sent one box. This is tantamount to false advertising. Why send me an email and get me to the store under false pretenses? I did mention this to Gugulethu who provided me with a rain check, but why advertise if the store is not able to service the demand, and why make me feel guilty because only one box was sent – Pick ‘n Pay’s problem – not mine.
So, because Pick ‘n Pay made a mistake, I must now get back into my car and return to the store to sort this out – Oh No! I am placing myself at risk of being infected with the virus because of someone else’s incompetence at PnP, REALLY???
It is clear that Pick ‘n Pay are increasing prices of items on a daily/weekly basis as they think they have a captive market. News Flash – NOT SO!
I am fed up with the attitudes of Pick ‘n Pay and their representatives – NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!
