False Advertising, No Response & Poor Customer Service
This all started on Monday (2019/01/28) A vacuum was on special specifically a Bennett Read Force and was advertised as R 399 in the news papers and on the website (I have the screenshot & article from the newspaper if need be) So going to the Hyper Market at Lifestyle center Centurion, I requested this special and was told "Sorry this is incorrect and the vacuum advertised was not the one that was on special" So I stated that this is indeed false advertising and as a customer I am allowed to receive that item ADVERTISED AT THAT PRICE. clearly this was not the case and they refused to give me on, other than that they said there was no stock of the vacuum, fair enough, there is a thing called a "green card" where customers are allowed to book one the items and wait until the store receives it to get it at that price. I then phoned Hyper Market in Woodmead and the lady said that it was false advertising and there is no way I can get it so I asked her "so what now? it is in the newspaper and on the website " so she said "I dont know nothing happens now because it is not on special" - IS this how Pick n Pay employees treat their customers? I then took to their website to write to them and all I received was an email saying it has been handed to management from a noreply email. It is now Thursday (2019/01/31) and I sent this complaint through on Monday (2019/01/28) and no one has attempted to call or assist. As far as I know the company should honor what they advertise as this is false advertising. and by their employees not being helpful or even willing to try stick to THEIR companies adverti*****t is beyond me. This is indeed false adverti*****t as a customer wastes their time and fuel to go to a hyper market (there are not many so they are a distance) just to get to the store and not to be assisted and told they cannot help. The employee at the store said "Bennett read came to the store yesterday (Sunday) to tell us that this is the wrong item that is on sale" so now is this my fault as a customer that this is the wrong thing advertised? am I at wrong for wanting to purchase an item advertised all over? Please assist as I am not getting a response from Pick n Pay and all i basically want is a product that was advertised. I will even put my name on a green card and wait for this stock to arrive. This is ridiculous how customers are being told they cannot be assisted by staff when they are on the floor to help. Please assist as this is definitely false advertising and poor customer service. this special ends on Sunday, and I will return to the store if need be to place my name on a waiting card for this item as advertised.
