False Advertising

This morning I went to our nearest branch, that being PnP on Darwin Corner, and absolutely disgusted at the service of the Assistant branch manager.

Firstly there is a pallet of Potato pockets , signage reads R49,99 for a 7KG bag. I then ask for 50bags. The store assistant manager then approaches and says the price is incorrect and now is R65, point 1 the price I see is the price I expect to pay.. if the store failed in their duty to do the necessary update, the customer should not feel the inconvenience.

Then secondly I wanted 50 bags of potatoes, to then only be told... he cannot accommodate the sale as this is seen as a bulk purchase, no where is there any signage that this is a special and that there is a limited quantity per customer.

Whether you sell 1 per hour or 50 bags in one transaction, the value of the sale and the GP remain the same. I am highly frustrated at the service or lack thereof and this manager being unaccommodating. To me its the poor execution of the price instruction which had led to this decision that he cannot sell me the 50 pockets.

I would like a call back and explanation of this or will be escalating to the CGSO for resolution.
