False advertising

False advertising - Pick n Pay Hyper Northgate On saturday the 14th Dec 2019 at about 16h38 I walked into pick n pay hyper at northgate mall to buy fan and other items. Whilst shopping for the fan a poster reflecting R1999 Russell Hobbs airfryer reduced to R999 caught my eye as in the attached pic. I then took the very box which had the advertisment and went to pick other items in the store. Realising that I will still have money left I thought of buying an electric egg boiler which led me to the same departmet where I took the Russell Hobbs item. As I was passing the shelf I saw that the adverti*****t has been removed and placed in another isle. I asked the salesperson Compton Mohau who assisted me he said he does not know who took it. He went to report the matter to some colleague/manager. I waited for him for about 15-20 minutes in the same department. Finally he came and went past me indicating that he is coming back. When he came back he informed me that his managers are at the front I should go there. Went to the tills was told to go to till 19 from till 19 they moved me to another till seeing that I will be using a card to pay for the items. The cashier rang the item and it read R2299. I informed her that I have an issue with that as I took the box with the ad. She called another lady who did not want to hear my story I then went with her to where I got the item. She said she will not authorise it as it is not the item that the ad is referring to yet she could see the empty space where I took it from. Back at the tills another staff member who was not in uniform came I also took him to the very isle and showed him the ad with the item and claimed that a customer could have placed it there. I informed them that I will report their false advertising as it is surprising that no one would have noticed it until then. Hope this matter could be looked into and resolved accordingly. As a pick n pay customer, I am deeply disappointed in the service which I received today from your employess and the issue regarding the false advertisment
