False Advertising
Hi,
Pick n Pay is engaging in false advertising and when it is pointed out to them , they refuse to honour the price stated in their adverti*****t.
I purchased 3 boxes of cat food which was supposed to be discounted to R100 from R129 if you are a Pet club member, which I am. I only received the normal discounted price of R109 which was for all smartshoppers. I queried this in store at Kenilworth Centre and one of the supervisors agreed with me and assisted with lodging the complaint with the PnP Pet Club and emailed them the necessary details of the slip, advert and my details. 10 days later, I received a phone call to say that they will not be refunding me at all as the system only allows 1 discount. But it clearly gave me the wrong discount. This was not my fault, so why am I being overcharged? The call centre operator indicated that this was what she received from their marketing department and she could not help me any further. I requested her response in writing which she said she would do, but I have heard nothing since.
PnP has really disappointed. The whole experience leaves a sour taste. They don't seem to be concerned at all that their advertising is misleading. Checkers is in the same mall and they have now gained a permanent customer. Goodbye PnP.
