False Advertising

Yesterday i received an email referring to your online specials. An AIM 55inch UHD Smart TV was advertised at R3999.00. I have been unsuccessful in purchasing three of the units online on the 19/11/2019. I have received incorrect info and bad service when calling the online contact centre. The have responded with confirmation that it was my error for not registering to purchase online, yet the online site did not prompt me to register. My colleague at work is registered to purchase online and she could purchase the TV's on my behalf. She received and error message. we have tried again today and now the item is sold out and Henry Smith at your contact centre says that there is nothing that can be done. He apparently spoke to Cuan Akal who is a coordinator and he says that the will not be getting more stock of the item. No-one address the fact that the website was experiencing issues with purchasing the product. The confirm the item sold out yesterday the 19/11/2019 and says that was why we could not purchase yet the item was still being advertised and no SOLD OUT messages we received like we are receiving today for the product. I am appalled the way i was brushed off as if the matter is resolved because the item is sold out, there is nothing else the can do. I even confirmed that i have screen shots of the error messages and that the item was advertised as from the 18-- until the 24th November.

Thank you for your regurgitated policy reply.

I am from the Western Cape. Unfortunately, your online shopping portal does not advise that you have to be registered to purchase online. My colleague is registered and received an error message when she tried to purchase on my behalf, which was forward to your online email address. I got the same reply the was posted on this site. Yet no investigation was done as to why the error message was sent.

I feel the least your company can arrange is a "Rain Check" like your store do, for the inconvenience received and all the regurgitated correspondence, remember that you are dealing with people and not robots.
