FALSE ADVERTISING

Recently bought an AIM 49 inch Smart TV for R4999.00 with the intention of watching/streaming services such as Netflix, Showmax, DSTV Now. I am currently using an HDMI cable from my laptop to my TV. I thought I could upgrade to a smart TV and not use the laptop anymore. But the smart TV isn’t so smart at all. For the past 3 weeks and numerous attempts to stream such services via the app/browser even mirror cast, errors started popping up or sound playing but a blank screen! It is absolutely false advertising as they promise all the bells and whistles on the box however none of these apps work! It even comes pre-loaded with Netflix and it doesn’t work? Downloading the app DSTV now or trying to stream DSTV now through the browser also doesn’t work. Not even the DSTV staff can help me over the telephone to get the program playing. I mean really? If the app store on this TV is unlicensed, why is Pick ‘n Pay selling it? After some research, I now have to cough up more cash to buy an android box to get these functions! I guess this wasn’t a special after all. I am utterly disappointed.
