Fair Treatment
on Thursday 22 September me and my family visited tygervalley pick n pay. The cashier made a mistake with scanning an item twice and I had to wait for a refund. Now being a person with Parkinson disease I cannot stand for long periods on end but today was exceptional. Look I don't expect preferential treatment just to be treated fairly. At tygervalley pick n pay you won't get that at all. I had to stand and wait for a R5.07 refund at no fault of my own and the the customer in front of me was doing 31 gift cards. I ask other staff' s for assistance but was told it can only be done at that till. I was standing 15 minutes by now and then the unthinkable happened. They assisted a customer who was not even in the queue despite my objection and despite the objection of the gift card customer. It was only after I could not stand anymore I had to sit down then the staff started to pay attention to me. This matter upset me so much that I fell ill. I don't mind waiting in queues but what I do mind is being brushed aside like i don't matter, what I do mind is feeling like my issue don't deserve to be treated fairly, like my money is not as good as the person that barged in front of me. if it's my turn to be assisted I expect to be helped. is it too much to asked for. in fact I ask and the gift card customer also made you aware of this fact. shame on you pick n pay.
