Extremely rude and confrontational staff.

I attempted to purchase a reduced item at PicknPay Rosebank today. (Dried fruit cake mix) I discovered that staff members had reserved the above mentioned item and refused to allow me to purchase it. I've experienced this in the past where staff members hide reduced items and later purchase them when the store closes. I adviced the lady (staff member) that I was going to report her to management for what they've been doing for years. Her response was extremely rude and confrontational. She challenged me to report her and proceeded to point out that the managers office was in a particular direction, creating a scene in the store with her colleagues laughing at me.

I went to the managers office to report her and spoke to a woman who turned out to be the acting manager for the day. (18/07/21) The manager proceeded to explain to me about reduced items that I wasn't interested in purchasing. The icing on the cake was her covering for the rude staff member and instructing her to apologise to me.

The apology only served to anger me more as it wasn't sincere. I advised her that she was only sorry that I reported her and that I was going to take the issue further. I took the items that I purchased and walked out.
