Expired Product Sold at Pick n Pay – Unacceptable Quality Control

I am disappointed with the level of quality control at Pick n Pay Ferndale on Republic.

I recently purchased a box of biscuits from one of your stores, only to discover afterward that the product had already expired. The “best before” date on the packaging clearly states 23/10/2025, yet this item was still being sold on the shelf. 5 months after its best before date.

This raises serious concerns about stock management and customer safety. As a customer, I trust that products sold in-store are safe for consumption and within their valid dates. Selling expired food products is not only negligent but also potentially harmful.

This experience has affected my trust in your brand, and I believe stricter checks need to be implemented to ensure expired items are not accessible to customers.

I would appreciate: • An explanation as to how this was allowed to happen • Assurance that corrective measures will be taken • A refund or appropriate compensation for this inconvenience

I hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed urgently.
