Expired item on the shelf

I went to this store to get some groceries on 01/03. Lo and behold when I went to pick up cake flour, there was a 2.5 kg packet of Sasko cake flour that had an expiry date of 15/02/2015 on the shelf - took a picture with my cell phone. I obviously did not purchase that one - left it on the shelf. However, this is not the first time that this has happened. I had previously found expired food stuff and pointed it out to the manager at the time, only to be told that 'if i didn't inform them about this, then they couldn't do anything about it'. I did not bother to raise this issue with management again as i am quite fed up with this store. Very often they are out of stock of items, especially advertised ones (on Sunday there was no hot and mild Nando's sauce, no Wimpy tomato sauce)
