Expired food on more than one occasion

We have just moved into the area so I went shopping with my mother to get some groceries from the Pick n Pay in Blu Valley Centre in Centurion a week ago. We wanted to buy Mama's Pies and we looked at the expiry date and the pies had already expired but were still in the freezer waiting to be sold. We left the pies and purchased other unperishable foods. I went back to that Pick n Pay this past Saturday to purchase meat for our braai on Sunday. There were no options of purchasing chicken kebabs (different flavours) so I purchased Chicken Espetada sticks x 3.We braaied them on Sunday but they had such a bad odour that we smelt them again once cooked and they were definitely off despite the sell by date being the 10/8/2015. I am an avid shopper at Pick n Pay but this particular branch has put me off, especially of purchasing meat and I will now have to double check the expiry dates of every product I purchase in future. Luckily we paid attention to the odour and didn't eat the chicken as we would have been extremely ill with food poisoning this week. I hope somebody can look into this matter as this could be really bad for business at this branch and also bad for the Pick n Pay group
