Elliot! First Staff member worth going back for !

<p>I've been shopping at pick 'n Pay for years. Too many to count. And in all the years I have been, I've become accustomed to seeing rather sad looking, unfriendly staff who seem to just be going through the motions to get to the end of the day. Most times a smile is not reciprocated. Most staff members have no idea how to assist, so I generally don't bother asking. </p> <p>However last month there was a special on and after visiting 3 different branches only to find that all were out of stock on the 2nd day of the promotion, I decided to call various stores instead. </p> <p>As expected, some stores claimed to not even have that item on special (pamphlet indicated otherwise) but then... I called the ****arney branch and was fortunate to have Elliot answer. I asked if they had stock, he told me not to worry, to come in, look for him and he will assist. I explained that other branches were unable to help and I didn't want to drive all the way if they too didn't have what I was looking for. </p> <p>But he insisted that he will help me. Without putting me on hold or passing me off to someone else. </p> <p>With much skepticism I decided to give it a go and to my utmost surprise, as promised... Elliot assisted me IMMEDIATELY. He said there wasn't any stock at that moment but he asked how many I needed and he made a plan. I was shocked.to learn that it was possible. That a staff member below CEO level was able to actually make something happen. </p> <p>And whenever I've seen him since, he's smiling and friendly, interacting and friendly with all customers. </p> <p>Really, truly such a pleasant person</p> <p> Certainly a rose amongst a thicket of thorns. </p> <p> </p> <p>So here's.
