Douglasdale Pick 'n Pay has gone to the dogs (with respect to the dogs)

I have been shopping at the Pick 'n Pay Douglasdlae for the past 24 years and spend thousands there every week.

The store was a franchise store I believe, under the FAMILY store brand. It was well run, clean, friendly staff, products were well priced, there was great variety and both the butchery and bakery were a pleasure. NOT ANYMORE.

It has now been taken back by the head office. And what a shadow of its former self it has become. Poorly stocked shelves, demotivated staff (who complain about the poor support from head office) and the prices have increased across the boards on everything. No pricing on the shelves and just a terrible shopping experience.

I am disgusted and disappointed by what used to be a great store that made Pick 'n Pay proud. I left my details with one of the managers and let him know how he felt and asked him to pass the message up the chain. I am still waiting 3 weeks later.

Is it corporate greed or just a lack of caring or both? I wonder? Pick 'n Pay you have lost a loyal customer. I will never shop there again.
