Don't buy eggs at Pick n Pay. Over 30% of eggs you purchase at Pick n Pay are rotten.

Floatation test is the most common test to check the freshness of an egg.... Fill a pot with water and then place the egg in it. If the egg sinks, it is an indication that the egg is fresh and safe to cook. If the egg floats at the surface of the water, it means that the egg is rotten and it is not safe to cook.

I have a smart shopper card (not really smart hey?) and I have been a Pick n Pay customer (Park Meadows) for many years. Over the past year many eggs are rotten particularly the 2-tray (2 x 24) eggs. Obviously Pick n Pay does not check the quality of the eggs they sell.

DO NOT BUY EGGS AT PICK N PAY, PERIOD!
