dissatisfied customer

Lamb braai chops advertised for one(1) day only on 31/03/2021 special @ R119.99/kg.I purchased three(3) individually wrapped packs to the value of R445.65 and accumulatively the mass of the aforesaid in total was approximately 3.71 kilograms of lamb meat. Upon further closer inspection at home underneath the top layer of chops I discovered pieces of meat that was NOT chops.I estimated those inferior lower grade pieces of meat to be around one(1)kilogram and would be valued at around R120.00 and hence I was now disadvantaged and ****** of around 1kg of my genuine lamb chops which I had already paid for.

I was disappointed with the lack of honesty that PnP does business and attempted to report this unfair and dishonest business practice to their customer service call centre. Unfortunately complaining customers have been suppressed recently by the introduction of a new paying type of system to contact the call centre.Previously it was a completely free number to lodge complaints etc.

Furthermore I initially lodged my complaint using the PnP Whats App platform which incurs data costs and is not a speedy complaint resolution mechanism. When I did not get a prompt response I was forced to use my limited money to get airtime and then lodge my complaint via telephone after the call centre agent called me back. though My reference is ***.I also sent an email requesting a follow up and PnP rep**** "my request has been sent and we awaiting feedback".So unprofessional inefficient and *********** bearing in mind more than 24hrs has elapsed and PnP does not value my time in that I have other priorities and matters that require my urgent attention. We all must act within reasonable time and not delay and frustrate processes deliberately and intentionally.PnP is acting mala fide(bad intention) in the context of my entire complaint.I requested PnP to call me and they ignored my reasonable request.

I had an expectation that my complaint will be resolved speedily and amicably but unfortunately PnP has adopted this undue delaying tactic to further frustrate me notwithstanding that I have already submitted proof of purchase and bar codes of the lamb braai chops and photographs.More than 24 hours has gone by and no feedback from PnP management to apologise and to remedy the situation by giving me a replacement of the inferior lower grade pieces with genuine lamb chops.

PnP is being disrespectful to me and is in violation of certain provisions as provided for in the consumer protection act of South Africa,No.68 of 2008.I have a right to redress within reasonable time.Furthermore PnP has no regard for my self worth as enshrined in my constitutional rights to human dignity and psychological integrity.

PnP must be held accountable and act within the spirit of the consumer protection act and furthermore due to the covid 19 pandemic and our Governments call to stay at home and restrict and limit our movement that is not really necessary I cannot be frequenting PnP unnecessarily to seek remedies for their deficiencies in poor and dishonest business dealings.Currently we still operate under the Disaster Management Act and PnP must appreciate the purpose and object of the Act in their daily business dealings. PnP says all the right rhetoric but is not seen to be doing the right thing.I am disappointed with their lack of accountabilty and the inordinate delay in resolving my complaint.Justice delayed is justice denied.

PnP must desist from treating me like a second class citizen and I desire to be treated with respect and equality. I am a poor hard working sentient human being who desired to have lamb chops within my budget and PnP has failed me. I thank you. Be safe Warm Regards B.Dayal ***
