Dissapointed!

I purchased a Denny cook in sauce product from Pick ‘n Pay kings mall in gonubie ,I took it from the shelf without checking the expiry date and rushed home to cook before loadshedding.I prepared my meat ,vegetables and when I added the sauce I realised that something was wrong.it ruined everything and I had to discard the food ,rush out to get pizza for all the guys that I was cooking for as we are here for work.when I reported it I took the two packs of chicken with me cos it was money spent on meat that I purchased at the same shop.the manager says I can only get refunded for the product that was expired.wot about the chicken I bought that their product ruined .my house was smelling and I had to go out and spend more money on things that I already had .the manager is hoping to report this to the cool in sauce company and hope that they can give me a voucher.why can Pick ‘n Pay not give me the voucher as I bought it in their store and they are the ones who never removed the product from their shelves.I feel I was handled as tho I’m being petty
