Disgusting service

I bought a pair of sandals for my 2 year old 2 weeks ago. They have cut in between her toes to the point they are bleeding everytime she has worn them. I took them to the cresta branch today to exchange them for another pair of shoes. I received nothing but a bad attitude from everyone I spoke to. I did not have the receipt as every pair of shoes we have purchased previously have been great. The manager ended up calling another manager and wanted to speak to me. This guy was so rude and told me the shoes were "old" and I should have tried the shoes on before buying them. My daughter did try them on but obviously it's only after a short period of time that the shoes rub. I ended up getting extremely upset and I did swear. Not at the manager but in my sentence. He then refused to help me even though he wasn't helping me before. The point is, those shoes need to come with a warning. It is now wasted money and they must be thrown in the bin. I can't afford to keep buying new shoes. If the shoes look so "old" after such a short time it clearly says something about the quality of the shoes. I am deeply upset by the lack of care of customer service. I will no longer support pick n pay as it is clear that money is all this company is interested in.
