disgusted at latest policy
On Tuesday evening at about 5.30pm I was doing a quick shop at Kenilworth Center. I started at one food retailer and then made my way to pnp. My shopping was in a trolley and as I passed thru the doors to the pnp, I stopped so that the security guard could mark my shopping bags. He then told me that I had to take my groceries out of the trolley it was in and put it into a pnp trolley, I was not allowed to take a trolley from another shop into the store!?!??!? I initially thought he was kidding but he ran after me and stopped me from entering the store, I was shocked and surprised. I wasn't allowed to enter until I changed trolleys.
If I had the option, I would've turned around and walked off without going into the store but I needed something.
PnP is undergoing a massive renovation and the trolley I was forced to used was covered in construction dust. It was quite disgusting and all me groceries was covered in this dust as a result.
I realise the secdurity was just following order but I think this decision is stupid. I refu se to eat the bread that was in my trolley as it felt grimy to the touch afterwards.
Luckily I could wash my fresh produce. I am disgusted and disappointed!!!
