Disgusted and disrespected
Today I was disgusted by the service and level of disrespect I experienced at my local pick n pay Blue valley mall at The Reeds Centurion. I was with my 9 year old and I bought fat cakes. My child gave the lady the slip folded when collecting. This lady did not take the slip instead telling my son with a cold voice in"Isipedi" to unfold it. I answered to her that he does not understand Isipedi taking the slip and unfolding it myself. She still answered me without giving a damn about what I'm telling her still responding to me with Isipedi while I'm speaking in English explaining to her she can speak English with clients as she can't assume all clients understands her own language just because she is African. My home language is Xhosa and my son understands English and Xhosa. I left while she did not care about this behaviour, when the next client came I could hear her making a joke to this client about this and I turned and asked why she does not respect her clients. she mumbled. In our South African country so diverse like this we have individuals still behaving like this. I buy these fat cakes not because I don't have a choice so this made me sad not because of the incident but other individuals who buy these fat cakes because they have no choice and they eat them feeling the way I did today. This woman is cold, rude, no respect for a client I'm not sure if it classing clients thinking she is selling Sushi or something I don't know but she can like her kob a bit there are people out there who are desperate for that job and they have good manners than her.
