************** against foreigners

I was looking for a good laptop deal then i came across a pick n pay hyper pamphlet which had an awesome deal. Very excited i went to pick n pay hyper northgate to enquire how i go about applying for the 24 months contract for this awesome deal. I was referred to gentleman in the shop who was to assist me. He asked for my i d number sweetly i narrated it to him to my surprise i was declined i told him there should be a mistake he should try again because i have a very good credit record am an attorney and get paid so well so it cannot be a rating issue. He tried again and same thing he then saw where the problem was my id number. I asked what the issue was he said that it was because i was not born in south africa so even though i have a south african id by the mere fact that it recognises am just a permanent resident and not a citizen it automatically declines. I was buffled to say the least. I have been a faithful customer to this very shop since 2004 and now it discreminates me merely on the fact that i was not born in south africa what nonsence.... being an attorney i understand that i have rights within the Consumer Act.. "Right to Equality in the consumer market and protection against discriminatory marketing". What i do not understand is foreigners are good enough for supporting this franchise but not good enough to be awarded a credit facility even if they are documented properly and can afford it this is ridiculous. I am stll going to lay a formal complaint to the necessary regulatory authorities as i fail to understand the reasoning behind this kind of **************. And for a franchise that is even operating in my home country you are hypocrites.
