Discourteous and ************* staff!

Hello Pick n Pay,

I regularly shop at Pick n Pay Hyper in Brackenfell. Unfortunately, my experience there has not always been the best.

On Apr 9, my wife and baby accompanied me to the store. At the entrance, I requested a trolley with a baby-seat from the on-duty security official. I was told I could not have one. I asked for an explanation because I was a shopper at the store. I was then told that I could retrieve the cart myself. The cart was in the middle of a sea of other carts. I approached another guard to ask for assistance retrieving the cart - I was told that I would have to retrieve the cart personally. I retrieved the cart which proved to be a hazardous task. Had I injured myself in the process, I would have to recover whatever damages from Pick n Pay. Needless to say, I am disappointed in the lack of courtesy shown by the staff in this instance.

While shopping, a fellow shopper and I noticed that a sale item (advertised in a valid flyer) was not priced correctly in store (see ground beef mix on till slip). We spent the next 20-minutes convincing a staff member to honor the sale price. Again, disappointing.

While paying for our goods. I asked the cashier (*name withheld*) to confirm that the Copenhagens we purchased were rung-up at the promotional price of R14.00. She confirmed this but upon viewing my slip - I noticed this was not the case. I requested a reversal of the transaction. *name withheld* and her colleague (the bagger) then proceeded to have a conversation in Xhosa discussing how unpleasant my wife and I were. This is unacceptable.

There have been instances in the past where Ive returned to this shop to receive a refund for items rung-up at an incorrect price, i.e not the valid promotional price. So I do confirm this now, when unsure. I don't expect my wife and I to be alienated and insulted for the uncer*****y created by the store in this regard. Also, the alienation created by a service attendant speaking in a language foreign to us, about us. Totally unacceptable.

Please address this with your staff.
