Disappointment.
Today, I went to Pick 'n Pay Reizi's Square, Waverley BLOEMFONTEIN, to buy a few products. After I collected the products I needed I went to a cashier to pay at 12:06. The male cashier's name is: Julia Nolw Tlale. After I unpacked my to be be scanned, this cashier looked at me & said "plastic". What he meant by saying "plastic" I do not know, but I used my own judgement & said: "Yes, i would like a plastic bag". After which I confronted the gentlemen & told him that he should learn to ask customers in a full sentence if the customer would like a plastic bag for the items bought. After which this gentlemen responded that he did ask me in a full sentence whether I would like a plastic bag. I can reassure you that there is nothing wrong with my hearing nor my understanding of the English language. This gentlemen surely didn't ask me in a full sentence whether I would like to buy a plastic bag. After paying for the products, I said "goodbye" to the cashier, twice, while he was carrying with his own things & with no response.
In a second incident, at this same PnP a couple weeks ago, a female cashier looked at me dumbstruck when I arrived at the till to pay, again not greeting.
This is something that is happening at all around retail stores, except Woolworths. What is happening with cashiers & are cashiers no longer being disciplined for not following procedure?
