Disappointed by the Appliance and Pick n pay added to the stress

2020 Black Friday I bought a Defy fridge which comes with a free microwave , so in the last month I was warming food and I had a bombing sound , the door of the Defy microwave was no longer opening after that sound we had to pull out the door in order to take the food out to avoid it getting rotten in the microwave.

I took the microwave to the store s it is still under warranty however I am told that they cannot repair it nor replace it because I forced to open the door, I fail to understand how I would have been able to take the food out, or be able to carry it with the gravy inside? This is so disappoint what is the essence of a warranty if they dont fix their appliances when they break?
