Disappointed!

Got into Pick n Pay, saw some specials and decided to load my trolley. Got to the till and asked for a Smart shopper for my boyfriend. Did that and started paying. My groceries cost R700 and something . I packed the groceries myself to try and help the cashier. When I tried paying, I realised I was charged more than what I had calculated but then again I have had a long day of moving and decided I will just pay and go about my day. I used apple pay and my card declined , because of my limit. While I was updating my limit, customers behind me started complaining and fighting, to which I told the cashier to not mind them I am just updating my limit, cashier decided whilst I was changing my limit , to call her supervisor to void my items. Items that I had already packed. She went on to ignore me when I asked when can I pay for my items, she continued to help other customers while I was enquiring about paying. I had to take out all my groceries eventually so that she can rescan them etc. After her scanning I noticed now my groceries amounted to R800 and something, more than what was given to me before. I still complained. Customers were going crazy . She was not even bothered by me. Supervisor got involved and tried to resolve the issue . I tried to tell them to rescan everything but they said customers will complain. But because I was tired, I just decided to pay and will calculate everything when I got home. I was given back R6 change even though I was charged more than R30 extra for my groceries. I do not mind the R30, but all of this could have been avoided if the cashier would have focused on me and my needs before caring for the next customer. I worked at Game Stores and as part of my training, as a cashier you are supposed to focus on the customer you are busy with before focusing on the next. Whether or not they are complaining because such mistakes will make you short or have an over and that is a problem. Even with the smart shopper, I had to help her because she had no clue what she was doing. I am thinking of how many people that got declined for that job that she is now being *********** in . This is Pick n Pay Golden Walk. If you cannot handle pressure and cannot handle customers, then you shouldn’t be in a line of work that needs you to work well under pressure. Very disappointed
