DIABOLICAL SERVICE FROM A PICK 'N PAY FAMILY STORE
I decided to try the Online shopping experience with Pick 'n Pay, the ordering online went without a hitch, I decided to do "Click and Collect" and the store I chose was Pick 'n Pay family Store in Van Riebeeck Mall in Edenvale, Gauteng. That was a disaster. I said that I would collect on 11 November between 10h00 and 11h00. I went into the store at 10h30 and spoke to the Manager on duty. She said that they had not received any online orders for collection. I showed her the confirmation number, and asked her to contact the Online Department to find out why they had not received it. Her response was to ask me if I had chosen her store to collect from, as well as she could not contact the Online Department, that it was up to me to follow up, as this was not her problem. I went home and saved my order, as well as the email received from the online department confirming my order and collection information, to a flash drive, and went back to the store. I again spoke to the Manager on duty, who out the flash drive in the computer, but never actually opened up the two files. I again asked her to contact the Online Department to find out what was going on; all she was interested in doing was showing me that they had not received an email from them with my order. There was absolutely NO interest in assisting me with my problem until I started throwing my toys out the cot, only then did she try to assist me by phoning this person and that person, all of whom could not help her. After over 45 minutes, I asked the one lady there, who was the only lady who seemed interested in my problem, to please phone me as to what was happening. I suggested to them, that after all of this, I should get a free delivery to my home, as I had already been to collect me order twice, to no avail. Over two hours later, I still had not heard anything, so I phoned the Online Department, who said that they would contact the store directly to see why the order had not been picked and ready for me. Surprise, surprise, the Online Department could not get through to the store; I had to give them a cell number which I had asked for before leaving the store earlier, so I gave that to the Online Department to phone them on. After they contact the store, it was decided that I could collect my order at 16h30 yesterday, which did not suit me, so I said that I would collect it at about 10h00 today. I arrived there at 10h45, and the one lady was extremely sarcastic telling me that they had been waiting for me to collect my order at 10h00, my response was that I have been waiting for 24 hours to collect my order. The store did not have quite a few of the items which I ordered (and paid for), and two of the items they gave me totally the incorrect items, which I had them change to the correct items. I was assured that the items I paid for would be refunded, I asked that they advise when it would be refunded, that was at 11h00 this morning, needless to say I am still waiting for them to advise me when the refund will be actioned. After my experience with the Store, I am not holding my breath, but will be looking out for the refund. I honestly feel that the Manager that was on duty should be sent on a Customer relationship course as soon as possible, as her attitude towards customers is diabolical. When I suggested that I should have my order delivered to me free of charge after, at that stage, making two trips to the store, using my airtime to phone their Online Department, as they seemed not to have the correct numbers to phone, as well as my time that was taken up by all of this and the aggravation of all of this, I was told that it was not possible, and it was not actually the Store's fault. Whilst I was inn the office on my second visit, and they were looking through their emails to prove to me that they had not received the email with my order, some of the staff were discussing how the online click and collect is not working - I do not think that was very professional discussing that in front of a customer. This was definitely a case of Click and Collect and Collect and Collect
1. Excess amount paid online is part of the reservation amount still with your daughters bank and should have reverted back to her account within 48 hours.
2. All items listed under "Not Supp****" were not not charged for therefore there is a 0.00 balance at the end of each item.
3. We are addressing the poor service received at this store with our online team.
