********* Pricetag with a bad attitude

<p>On Thursday night I went to Pick n Pay Northlands on Witkoppen. I bought chicken which had a price tag at R44, at the till, this scanned at a different higher price. I pointed this out to the cashier and then was assisted by the assistant manager. Wendy pointed out that the price shown was wrong and it should have been per kilogram, the price tag did not stipulate this. Wendy was rude, obnoxious and uncompromising in her response. She told me that every body knows that it is the price per kilo, how do they when this is not indicated? She even went as far as to say "Are you going to pay or should I void?", with an annoyed tone. At the end of the ordeal when I told her to void the item, she merely walked away with nothing else to say. The customer service was shocking and with no regard to my rights as the consumer. The price tag was not written as weighed pricing, is this then the store being ********* in its pricing? Am I as the consumer responsible for price tag mistakes? What happened to the Double the difference policy or consumer laws? The shop would have gotten away with this if Wendy had approached the situation better and had a better attitude.</p>
